We went over to Brownsea Island and found it to be a good service, we came back via a tour around the harbour as the tide was too low for an around the islands tour. It was very informative and we really enjoyed our trip.

We did the whole harbour trip as part of visit to Brownsea Island. You can go direct to Brownsea, visit the Island, then get back on (make sure and pick the right boat – they alternate) and did the rest of the harbour. Quite a...More

The Yellow ferry makes getting to Brownsea so easy. I got the ferry from Sandbanks where is links with the local 'Purbeck Breezer' bus service which I got from Bournemouth and the chain ferry which runs across the mouth of Poole Harbour.

Helpful informative staff, nice trip to Brownsea Island. The return trip included a tour around the harbour and info about the neighbouring islands which was an added bonus.

We were extremely lucky with the weather on our visit. We paid for the ferry but as national trust members we only had to show our cards for entry to the island. The ferry trip itself was lovely, toilets on the ferry which were handy...More

Cheaper ferry is from Sandbanks as it is a shorter crossing (£6.50 as I recall) Free access to island if you are a NT member.

Quay Visitors Car Park Strand Street, Poole BH15 1SB Roughly £1 per hour so for £2 for a few hours should do it. Poole has many car parks but that is the safest and nearest.
