A modern museum full of interesting exhibits about Poole and the area. Some nice maritime things, but also the local pottery, people and wildlife.

My wife and I stopped here for a coffee in November and ended up having a cream tea. They had a special offer which we took advantage of. It was great value and very enjoyable.

4 floors to look at, very well laid out, staff friendly, the cafe at the top has good snacks, cake and tea and a lovely view at present, although will be blocked out by new apartments soon, such a shame!

The museum was interesting, nice to see the Poole pottery displays. We enjoyed our visit but thought manageress rather rude when we bought a postcard and had to wait to be served for at least 5 mins while she finished her conversation.

Scaplens court was very interesting full of history. The garden is beautiful. Poole museum was a delight. If you're interested in Poole pottery then you must see the collection in the museum.

I'm not sure either. It seems though that Poole is dog friendly. A lot of shops have water bowls outside for our canine friends.
