This is a wonderful piece of work - both moving and beautiful at the same time. The RNLI is a great place and this is a great welcome to it.

This memorial sculpture is outside the RNLI college and is dedicated to those brave people most of whom are volunteers and don't get paid who have lost their lives whilst trying to save others. You did your duty, well done.

We stayed 2 nights in the RNLI College Hotel for a motor boat dinner. We took a guided tour around the year old life boat building centre and saw the huge modern facility that is building the lifeboats for the future and improving older lifeboats....More

This modern sculpture stands outside the RNLI college/hotel. It is well made and thought provoking. On one side are the names of 750 volunteer lifeboat men who have lost their lives trying to save others.

A beautiful thought provoking sculpture, well worth a look. You can also do coffee, lunch, afternoon tea or evening meals too. Excellent views over Holes Bay and the new Twin. Sails lifting bridge

I've read some of the reviews and don't know the politics behind it. But it is a thought provoking piece of work and no matter what you think you have to have total respect for the lifeboat crews.

This “charity” has wasted more money than any other I know of, the staff are mainly managers and senior managers who are over paid, this sculpture is another sign of wasting money. They have millions in reserve and yet plead poverty. Get real

As can be seen by the photo, this sculpture which is seen at the entrance to the RNLI training building really shines out. Very emotive of what the RNLI stands for.

It goes without saying that the RNLI are the true definition of the word hero. So this memorial does them proud...strong, robust, brave and dependable.
