Visible if you are driving along past the Regent towards town this unusual sculpture sits proudly atop the toilet block. Fun piece which will raise a smile!

My 5 year old grandson absolutely loves this statue & shouts "Nanny, it's the man" every time we go past it in the car or walk into town! I think it's very clever & love the flies, especially on a Public toilet!

Spotted this on our walk around this historic town. Did not realise it had a name! Unusual and interesting.

The title says it all: an amusing sculpture affixed to a public lavatory. For many a visitor the work will provide something of an amuse bouche, an appetiser, as it were, for a visit to the lavatorial facility.

This statue makes me laugh every time I see it. A cartoon Major in uniform with a fly swat beating away at some quite large flies. The appropriate setting mentioned in the title is that it sits on top of a public toilet. Ipswich has...More

A very welcome clean and wholesome public lavatory Not enough town centres provide these. Don't they realise that a large proportion of their visitors are retired theses days? Our attendant was friendly too, so along with the chuckle raised by the the sight of Mr...More
