This is a review about the 13 km walk around Alton Water. The walk, on a well made-up path, was not especially interesting except the south-west section. It was spoilt, to some extent, by people on Mountain bikes generally not showing consideration to walkers

Why pay to park. Have just returned from some beautiful walks around Yorkshire reservoirs which had excellent facilities, of which none charged for parking.
Also paying to park and only use cafe makes for an expensive coffee and bun.
