Absolutely lovely. Beautiful walks, lots of wildlife to see, loved watching people on the water enjoying themselves. Peaceful surroundings. There is a lovely tearoom for snacks and you can park all day for three pounds.

Went there on Sunday with a mate to cycle around the lake. Not to demanding even for me, a novice cyclist. Lots of ramblers, cyclists and dog walkers even though it was a wet day, all getting on together. A pity the coffee shop was...More

Lots of cycling, dog walkers and amblers. Alton Waters is a 7.5 mile walk with a cafe half way if you park at the bridge.

This is a lovely area, with lots of changing scenery, walking or biking round Alton Water. We especially like the Autumn days, with the vibrant colours of the trees, lapping water, sail boats and lots of chestnuts to harvest! We usually start from the south...More
