Like many voluntarily supported museums this one should be better supported by the local authority. Its dedicated staff are hard working and probably under appreciated by the community. I was really impressed by their enthusiasm, knowledge and helpfulness. The exhibits are wonderful and the rides...More

A great day out for all the family that really brings the past (both recent and not so recent) to life. The works in progress reveal just how much hard work and love goes into the museum and restoring its exhibits and, as a previous...More

An excellent museum run by enthusiastic and knowledgeable people. Good value too. It specialises in items which have a local connection, especially buses, trams, lorries etc. There are only a few cars. Plenty enough to occupy 2/3 hours, and many people might want a return...More

Absolutely intriguing museum with very friendly and informative volunteers. Well worth a visit but has limited opening times so worth checking before visiting. We easily spent three hours looking around and it's great for children as it's interactive.

Visited as a car club. Warmly welcomed and given a designated car park. All exhibits were well maintained and had good notes to explaon their part in the museum. Staff were knowledgable and encouraged questions. Worth allowing plenty of time to absorb.
