This beautiful mansion is highly underrated. Beautiful artworks by world famous artists and currently a superb exhibition featuring the 16th century 'wolsey angels'. Highly recommended for history, art and architecture fans.

Very well maintained house and the exhibits most sensitively displayed and arranged. Paintings, furniture, domestic implements, cultural artefacts. Relaxed atmosphere and helpful staff. Something for everyone.

Very interesting house with some outstanding pictures including Gainsborough's and Constable's. Fascinating history and well presented exhibitions throughout the house. A must visit if you are in Ipswich, but be warned parking is a problem.

This is a very interesting historic house which has some fascinating rooms from different periods. There are plenty of volunteers to tell you more about features and exhibits. Entry is free, amazingly, but there is an old chest for donations in the main hall.
