About
Evil Judge Turpin lusts for the beautiful wife of a London barber and transports him to Australia for a crime he did not commit. Returning after 15 years and calling himself Sweeney Todd, the now-mad man vows revenge, applying his razor to unlucky customers and shuttling the bodies down to Mrs. Lovett ,who uses them in her meat-pie shop. Now imagine it’s 1846 and you’re walking down the cobble roads in the backstreets of London, you notice a nice smell of freshly cooked pies, as you walk past the pie shop you hear a faint cry for help. Can you help the damsel in distress and not put yourself in any further danger and escape the room before Sweeney Todd it’s returning in the room?

We went here today and would fully recommend, the host was very welcoming and offered us a drink between games. We played Sweeny Tod and Hell if a dinner, both completely different style. H.O.D is a sit down, handcuffed to the table type game where you work as a team to release yourself and make an escape whereas Sweeny Tod is more of a scatter gun approach. We loved both but our style preference was H.O.D. As there was no booking behind us the host kindly gave us an extra 10 mins to complete Sweeny. Such a fun day out, thank you!

We were a party of three adults and a nine year old. We had previously been to the Sweeney Todd experience but on this occasion we were in the Dracula escape room.
Both experiences were great fun. It is suitable for all ages in our party. It is very well planned and staff are extremely helpful and want the clients to really enjoy the experience.

The best place to have fun in Eastbourne. You could come with your colleagues, family, friends, and kids. All of you will have the best experience Ever. I recommend this place as I been there for the first time, I was impressed. So go for it, and book your fun time.

We have done plenty of escape rooms in the past and are always trying to look for ones that are a bit different or are themed differently to others. We liked the sound of Sweeney Todd and the set up of it didn't disappoint, however, there were a few issues on the day.
We were not greeted with the usual cheerfulness and friendliness of hosts in other escape rooms we have done. The lady greeted us, showed us a video and asked if we had done escape rooms before but there wasn't any rapport building.
We liked that there were plenty of puzzles to solve and that they weren't all linear, however, some of the puzzles themselves were too sensitive. One was a timing issue, we couldn't have been more than a split second off but the puzzle wouldn't work. There was also a placement puzzle where the connections points should have been made bigger as it is impossible to see whether you are putting them in the right place or not.
The worst part was that we knew what we were meant to be doing with both of these puzzles, however, when they didn't work we spent a lot of time trying to find a different solution. As we have found in other escape rooms, the host should have advised us that we had the correct solution but that the timing/placement was slightly off.
It was unnecessarily dark in the room which I understand creates ambiance and it needs to be dark if UV light is used but there was a puzzle that none of us could even see. Other than the UV torch (which wouldn't have helped) there was no light in the room that we could have used.
The host didn't seem like she was paying much attention during the game. A few times she gave us a hint but it was telling us to do something that we had already done so I don't think she was watching properly.
As a group we have done a lot of escape rooms, however, we all left this one feeling disappointed that as a theme it was enjoyable but the practical side of it and the hosting was below par. We wouldn't return to play any of the other games

We were so excited to go to this escape room on my birthday,
as both my daughter and I are huge Dracula fans. My son was also with us, as he'd really enjoyed the one we went to last year in Brighton.
We were booked in for 11.15am and a guy arrived a couple of minutes before to open up. We got in and he asked us to go downstairs into a room, which looked brilliant. It had a coffin in the centre and looked suitably eerie.
He talked for a couple of minutes then left us to get on with it. He hadn't said we could ask for clues or anything else. The only thing he said was that the journal was the key. We didn't hear any more apart from when we had 40 seconds left and he asked how long we had. We didn't escape and when he arrived at the door, we expected answers as to what we missed, but all he said was that we were close!
There was no interaction, no feedback, no photo, no interest. All three of us got the impression that he'd only opened up for us, and he couldn't get us out of there quick enough.
My daughter had booked this, as the experience we'd had last year was amazing and the emails she'd had from this venue were really positive. We wondered if he actually worked there, or was just someone who happened to have a key.
We had been looking forward to it so much. If I were ever going to book another one, I would have it in writing as to what the whole experience entailed.

Was very cleverly done. We didn’t manage to figure it out within the hour which was a shame. The UV light wasn’t very good and some of the drawings on the drawers very very clear, probably would have been better at night but we went in the morning. Was very good though!

I never like to write a negative review but as a couple who have done nearly 100 escape rooms sweeny Todd just didn’t hit the spot. The host was very unenthusiastic and one of the parts of the game didn’t work so he had to come in. You could see all the exposed parts of the game such as wires etc. Just ruined the vibe. Not for us and wouldn’t spend £60 to return.

It was the first time we have done this, just me and my grandson and even though we didn’t finish it, we thoroughly enjoyed it
