Nothing special, in fact we found it very dull. What makes the beach unappealing is the very busy road in the background, a case of a badly thought of planning. The pier is so very uninspiring and bleak and towards the end of the pier...More

A nice walk, not many places doing food and a lack of chips aside from the one on the pier which has high prices. Many toilets and the wonderful bandstand along the front and huge old hotels. It's a shingle beach which was pretty clean...More

We were staying across the road at the Best Western Lansdowne and could not resist a windy walk along here first thing in the morning. My husband being a keen photographer got some amazing shots of the beach and pier.

From 1st November to the 1st April you can park for free along the seafront, there are signs up advising you of this and the parking meters are covered up with blue sacks, so that's a plus point. We parked just past the Grand Hotel,...More

The beach is lovely - steep shingle. Very picturesque, and looked great in the sunshine. The view to sea is great

Plenty of facilities around the seafront with beach huts for hire. Pier not as good as it used to be... facilities have been closed since it's recent sale. Good seafront bars.

Beautiful sea side upscale hotels, all in classic white, beautiful maintained parks. A very clean area well maintained. The beach consists of larger pebbles and is quite steep. Small shops line the promenade at places. Some of the benches and shelters are occupied by homeless,...More

This part of Eastbourne is really nice. There are grand carpet gardens, the famous pier and some beach cafes. There is an ice cream hut with some chairs outside. The trick is to finish your ice cream before it's snatched by a seagull. The downside...More

This pepple beach is long and very clean. It is great for walkers. The sea was very choppy when we were there so not sure if suitable for swimmers in the summer

A nice clean stretch of beach. Lots to see and do in this relaxing area. There are sandy areas of the beach, but it's mainly stones / pebbles.
