This area has an elegant atmosphere. Many restaurants and shops in architectural buildings. You can find whatever you want there.

The view was so calming and the day was sunny so the sun's reflection into the water was radiant. Would definitely recommend to visit whilst in Oslo. There were people exercise training by the water.

A nice walk on the seaside, surrounded by modern buildings. Everything is new and shiny. Rest here and maybe get information about a boat for any close island.

This area has transformed the waterfront of Oslo, with many restaurants most with outdoor seating. Have really great views across the fjord, watching boats, ships and people swimming in the fjord.

I just visited in January. The shops are open all year round , but they do close relatively early during this time of year. The sun is setting around 4:30 p.m. right now. All the restaurants in the area were open. Many even... More

Avoiding the big cities will save you a little fortune as long as you keep away beverages containing alcohol. All in all Norway is more expensive than GB, but well worth a visit.

Akke Brigge is the area. So yes it's open on weekends :) You should be able to access the area around the sea (pier, boats, little dammed off water area). The shops definitely on Saturday. It will be busy with the hustle... More
