This is one of the best ways to sit back and just enjoy the beautiful countryside. food on the train was minimal but okay. We bought up on the train ticket but there was a problem with the water and we had to go to...More

Oslo to Bergen is a very picturesque train journey thru the mountains in winter, all the waterfalls are frozen. The train stops at selected spots so you can get off & take photos. The rail journey finishes in Flam where you board an ice breaker...More

We took the overnight train (NSB Sove) from Bergen to Oslo S. Barely noticed when we were moving or at a station stop.

Travel by night I enjoyed the sleeper experience. Everything went smoothly. I stayed at the hotel directly across the stree from the Bergen Station. Returning to Oslo I went by day. Scenery is really outstanding. A must do!!
We took the day train one day and the overnight train too. The sleeper cabin was great! Really comfortable and cosy, we slept the whole trip easily. The day trip was beautiful and had great scenery to see. We saw lots of beautiful forests and...More

Well, the left side is better than the right for a lot of the trip but there is a still a lot to see on the right. There were empty seats on our train and I did a lot of jumping back and forth. I don't remember which side your seats are on but they will be good. besides, your going to see a lot of snow on both sides if you are leaving in a few weeks. My wife and I spent five days in Oslo and never felt unsafe. We walked all over the city both in daytime and at night.

You can add comfort section for a low Price on your booking. But honestly there isn't too much of a difference any more. Except the table in front of your Seat and free Coffee + (Norwegian) newspapers.
