Kids or adults can have a fantastic experience visiting the great museum. The setup is nice, big and interesting in different settings from a modern museum building to restored buildings from the beginning days of trains.

Interesting collection of trains, nice layout with the park opposite of the main building. We visited the site with our 13 year old son, and we all enjoyed it!

A narrow gauge train conveys passengers from the main building which has shop/cafe to various buildings with additional exhibits in the park opposite. Worth visiting.

Good Place for families, in particular during summer. The museum has lots of activities for children. it is situated NeXT to Domkirkeodden, which makes it a perfect place for Meeting friends, exercising and dating as well,

Went a as family. Had a fantastic visit, the museum is not huge but very interactive for all ages. Steam train rides, waffles and great walks.

Definitely worth a visit, and a pleasant way of spending a few hours in Hamar. As other reviewers have written, it is a good place to take children.
