I used to buy my English books at a place on Mariahilfe but that is gone. Shakespeare and Co. is now the best choice if you don't want to go to the suburbs. It's in the old city and near some fascinating churches, such as...More

It's an English language bookstore which is what I was looking for. It's real small. And it doesn't have used books or old books. And is mostly paperbacks. It's ok but not great.

Great little bookstore , don't expect the one in Paris this one is smaller. We loved this little bookshop and chatting with the lady who runs it. Lots to choose from and don't forget to get your purchases stamped.

Don't be fooled. This is a small bookstore and smaller than any other Shakespeare in the world. And they are not associated with the famous Shakespeare in PARIS AND the world. ( they even mention that on their website..would that be allowed?) Inside you will...More

A fantastic English-language bookstore in a quiet area of the Inner Stadt. It has a great inventory of all genres but I especially like the translation of Vienese/Austrian writers. Very nice and friendly English-speaking staff.
