I´m from Vienna and I went here for the 4th time. It´s still a lovely place of serenity, peace and, most of all, nature. If you visit Vienna and you want to see something special, go there.

We travelled on the Subway and then a short tram ride. You will see the cemetary on your right, however wait until the stop where you see the entrance. We were guided by a helpful lady who was headed to the cemetary too. She took...More

If you're a classical music buff like I am, this is a glorious, beautiful place in Vienna where Mozart and Strauss are buried. What better place than Vienna to indulge in all things classical?

This spot is worth a special trip. It resides in a somewhat sketchy part of Vienna, well outside the Ringstrasse, accessible mainly by taxi as the streetcars do not pass near enough to make it convenient to use public transportation. St. Marx is a cemetery...More

We were here at around 0930 on Christmas morning...needless to say.. the place was dead...All bad jokes aside...We arrived early and there was a slight fog hanging over the cemetery. Combined with all the crooked tombstones, and the meandering trees/bushes/plants, it was surrealism at its...More

Nobody seems to know exactly where Mozart is buried, but there's a monument here on a likely spot. It's interesting, and so is the rest of the cemetery. As you might expect, it's quiet. We only saw 2 other people while we were there.

St. Marx is well worth a visit! The scenery is just enchanting and this place is unique in the world! Especially in spring when the lilac is in blossom and in autumn when the leafs of the trees change their color, this cemetery becomes a...More

It's a very old place, very paceful and well maintained also. The most relevant thing is the zone where presumably are Mozart's remains. A "must" for classic music lovers and Mozart's fans.
