This is a very distinguished research institution and it resides in a beautiful building next to the Universitatskirche. The building itself has 2 fountains (one on each end) and provides a beautiful photo-op of both itself and the nearby church.

The Academy of Sciences was built in 1753 and is one of Vienna's most elegant buildings, with exceptionally beautiful architecture. It is located beside the Jesuit Church, which is a must see.
