Visited the market on a Saturday morning. Lots of stalls selling lovely food. Much nicer than the Naschmarkt where we went yesterday. This market is clearly for local people who want to shop. It was very busy so is obviously popular!

We came on saturday afternoon, 4ish, hoping to find something. Instead, most things were closed, and there wasnt anything around, or anyone to ask. Maybe on a different day is better. Today, we were highly dissapointed.

The square of Karmelitermarkt is a local food market with a busy market scene: between vegetable and fruit stalls there are butchers who sell kosher and halal meat - a fact that reflects the ethnic diversity of the neighbourhood. Organic products and freshly baked bread...More

This is a proper market where they sell mainly food not craft products.
