This is a good museum to visit particularly if if you have interest in history and culture. It has a level dedicated to arms and armour from medieval times. My children enjoyed spending time at this museum.

My friend and me went there during our December visit and we both were filled with joy and inspiration. This newly reopened institution asks important questions and displays lots of artefacts in wide context. I would love to have English comments in the exposition on...More

While this museum shows you 14 rooms of artifacts collected or purchased by the Habsburgs, and while the objects are often quite interesting, their display and presentations are simply second class and amateurish most of time. One can only wonder who got paid and how...More

My family and I (as well as many other Mexican friends) have been trying (not once but many times) to see the Moctezuma's Penacho that is in the Welt Museum (or Etnographic Museum). But for some reason it is never in dispay. The Museum is...More

Thought not a huge collection, the museum works in a modern way of not just having items behind a display but providing imaginative and educational ways of learning about foreign cultures and civilizations through them. And to think that I only went because I had...More

Despite being in Hofburg Palce, Welt Museum (World Museum Vienna) is often overlooked. Well, its definitely completely different from any other museum focusing on Habsburg's era. Here the focus is on everything that is NOT from Vienna. The best thing to see is definitely the...More
