Found this History tour informative and interesting. Children disappointed though as they thought they were going for a 'ride' in a little train as depicted in the advertising, which was not the case. Staff helpful and kind.

I'm a mountain girl from Vancouver and I was a bit disappointed to realize that it was impractical to visit the mountains from Vienna, so I settled a nice walk in the woods. I'm not exactly sure where the woods start and ends, but it...More

We took a tour through Viator to visit the Vienna Woods. It was a great half day tour with stops in Mayerling, Cistercian Abbey of Heiligenkreuz and the underground caves. Mayerling is nice but it's just a short top. The Abbey was incredible. With working...More

Just take city bus 38 and after a short ride you are enjoying the fresh air of the forest, the lungs of a big city.

I imagined to see a real special scene, due to Schubert waltz, but we can see a beautiful sceneray as well when we go from Prague to Vienna or vice versa

Complete contrast to the grandeur of Vienna. These small towns and villages provide a tranquil, green environment and a chance to enjoy natural beauty.

Vienna’s poshest green leafy suburb is also its most
romantic hotspot. Walk up Grinzinger Strasse with its
many historic wine taverns. The tops of nearby
Nussberg and Reisenberg hills make for great strolls
through the vineyards, and the occasional discovery of
a hidden winery. Popular local weekend hangouts are
Neustift am Walde with even more great wine taverns,
and café restaurant Cobenzl, up on Cobenzl hill –
