There is plenty to see in this museum - pianos, violins, rare instruments, etc. some belonging to world renown musicians and composers. Some of the instruments in the exhibit are from the Renaissance, other from Baroque. This is a must for all classical music lovers...More

The Collection of Ancient Instruments was a place we had wanted to visit, since my husband is a musician and piano tuner. Housed upstairs in the library building at the Hofburg Palace, it was not easy to locate but certainly more than worth the time...More

Great museum of historical musical instruments, many pianos and piano type instruments but also much much more. Anybody who is interested in anything connected with music will enjoy. Most of the instruments are 19th and 20th century so some few hundred years old.
