This place captures the spirit of the film and of Vienna generally in that it's quirky and beautiful with parts that really make you stop and think. When we visited (July 2018) it was only open for 4 hours on a Saturday afternoon as the...More

I lived in Vienna once for about 10 years and there are over 200 museums in this city. This one escaped me. I've gone on the tour to the sights in film but I somehow missed this little museum which encompasses the ground floor of...More

I am a third man enthusiast. When in Vienna, this museum, the sewer tour, and ferris wheel are a must. Follow Orsen Wells around the city. View the film before you go and again when you get back.

Wonderful unique collection of memorabilia, even an old cinema projector showing a 5 minute clip. Do the sewer tour too!

One of those unexpected pleasures of traveling like happening upon a unique vista or a new point of view. An unusual museum centered around a classic film. The tour given my the owner, Gerhard, is well worth while.

I have not watched the 3rd Man. It is a movie that was made in the 50’s and was a well-known, interesting, and successful movie set and filmed in Vienna. However, I had literally never heard of this movie before. We visited the museum as...More

It is my favorite film of all time, so I couldn't resist the stories about the making of the film, the actors and the director, and the writer who wrote the novel after the screenplay became a hit movie.

Our group had a personal tour by Gerhard, the museum owner. An unusual and interesting museum! I walked away realizing my obvious lack of depth of knowledge of history and a new-found interest in learning more. Thank you, Gerhard!
