I accidentally discovered this museum accidentally on this site, when critiquing another venue. This museum does not seem to come up on the official tourist promotion sites. There were 20 or so film fans who turned up for this holiday (30 th Dec) special opening...More

After many times to Vienna, we ran out of things to do, so we decided to visit this museum. Well, I'm sure that for people who are fans of this movie it's a great place, but for us it was strange. However, the staff were...More

The third man is the iconic British spy film with a script with dark undertones written by Graham Greene. This museum does true justice not only to the film but also the culture of Vienna at this time. The best possible example of how a...More

If you're in Vienna on a Saturday afternoon, you absolutely must come here and immerse yourself in everything (and I mean everything!) Third Man. Regardless of whether you know the film particularly, there's so much biographical information about the actors and creatives, production information and...More

Great museum dedicated both to The Third Man and also to Vienna, which is like a character in the movie itself. See the film before going at the Burg Kino cinema on the BergStrasse (near the Opera House) where it's shown 3 times a week...More

Just the best museum ever - actually it’s not really a museum, more Gerhard's passion for the film. I must admit I still haven’t watched the film but I bought a copy at the gift shop. As a previous reviewer said, the details of what...More

This is an excellent museum run by devotees of the film which means that there is a fascinating array of film memorabilia. But even more than that there is a section on pre and post World War Two Vienna which is very thoughtful and interesting.

The tour was packed with information, and was a high-point of our stay in Vienna. We took the English-speaking tour, which runs on most Wednesday afternoons. It's hard to comprehend how they have been able to gather so much material, including even an original film...More

Outstanding tour which goes beyond the film to cover Vienna/Austria’s history before and after WWII. Tour is done by a professional guide. Check the museum’s website for additional times.
