Located in the heart of Vienna, Albertina, the largest of the former private Habsburg residences, combines imperial pomp with masterpieces of art. This modern museum steeped in Austrian history makes for a unique experience.

This museum was interesting and very informative about the history of the opera, particularly the State Opera House in Vienna. Worth going to!

The museum takes you through the development of the State Opera. Amazing that such people as Brahms and Strauss were once in charge; great to learn about the world's best conductors performing there; but most of all it tells you about the singers. We had...More

Free entry with ticket for opera house tour. Only small museum covers opera directors, singers, costumes, photos of opera house after bombing and during reconstruction. Can spend a short or long time there but 30 minutes gives good overview.
