We came especially to see this pair of lovely spiral staircase with a pretty fountain in the middle. Tranquil and lovely stop. There are benches for sitting and resting along the staircase. Worth a photo stop.

I had no idea it was a famous place. Go to see it only if you are in the area. It is pretty and romantic but after all almost every corner of Vienna is beautiful

The most famous staircase of Vienna! Jugendstil (1910), perfectly restored, connecting the upper part of the 9th district with the famous Palais Liechtenstein. Heimito von Doderer used the staircase as title of his famous novel (1951).
