In the Museum O saw a wonderful exhibition from the collection of Count Lamberg-Sprinzenstein. The exhibition included paintings by Hironimus Bosch, Lucas Cranach , Rembrandt , and others. It is a small show but excellent quality. It is a must for art lovers. Yona. S.

Having been to a number of art galleries in Vienna, the small(ish) collection here is really pretty tired - a couple of good Cranach's and a HBosch do not make up for the dreary rest of the small collection, unimaginatvely displayed (except for the first...More

I have to be fair about this: I am giving this any sort of good rating at all because it just so happened that the Academy of Fine Arts is undergoing some construction and some of the master works from that museum are on display...More

The highlight of this museum is its library, which contains about 100,000 books and periodicals, and unlike the rest of the collections is technically still the property of the National Library, on permanent loan to the Theatre Museum so not noteworthy for its own memorabilia.

We were fortunate to hear Beethoven's third symphony performed in the same reception room it was first played in . Amazing experience. Nicely painted ceilings and overall pretty building.

Costs €8 per person. There is one exhibit giving detail of the theatre associated with Austrian Royal weddings but very little else. A handful of costumes, some reproduction prints and that's it. For a theatre museum, the visual and sensory experience is terrible. No signs,...More

We only went as we had the Vienna pass and thought it would be interesting, how wrong we were, there was nothing that caught our attention, even the staff seemed bored, we were in and out in about 15 minutes, fine if you have time...More
