The entrance fee is quite expensive, but the visit not as rewarding as it should be. The boards, explaining what you are looking at, don't work properly - they are very slow. There are lots of mums with pushchairs up and down, which makes it...More

We decided to go there on our last day, and it was a great decision. The kids had a lot of fun and were very exited. Our children are at least 7years old.

A good place to see not just fish, but also little monkies, turtles, crocodiles and other reptiles, as well as ants, spiders and other lovely creatures :) The panoramic view from the levels 9 and 11 is great, and, if the weather was hot and...More

Though not included in the Vienna Pass, you do get a free DVD when you buy tickets. There's quite a range of animals. From tortoises, crocodiles through to monkeys and bats. Watch out for the ants in the handrails (they are supposed to be there)...More

Easy to get to, and brilliantly laid out, this was something our 7 year old grandson was dubious about going to. Once he got used to the odd lay out it was difficult to get him out. Far better than the similar sections of the...More

We paid €18.50 entrance fee which I don’t believe was worth it.. the first couple of floors were interesting however the sights decreased the further you went up. To be fair we were on a budget, this took a large chunk out of it, and...More

This place is just so odd but in such a good way. Its historical context was that it was a former war building and due to reenforced concrete its string enough to hold tanks of water. The sea life is diverse and the surrounding atriums...More

A very nice place in a strange building. We loved the Tropical Garden as it had monkeys walking/jumping around and very nice birds. The aquarium is also interesting, the sharks are pretty small though (according to my son). There is a lot of walking to...More

Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping
heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The
weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium
Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six
remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with
a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna
and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the
area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with
