My wife and I attended a concert by Orchester 1756 in June of this year. We wanted to hear Mozart in the city of his birth. As an added bonus we got to hear Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Orchester 1756, play historically accurate instruments to give...More

We enjoyed some beautiful chamber music in the Marble Hall, Mirabell Palace. The room is much smaller than the pictures portray and it was very hot and stuffy. However it was a lovely concert with young talented musicians and despite it being clearly aimed at...More

We loved the Mozart concert in the Marble Hall. The musicians were passionate and expertly played several Mozart pieces, including the Piano Quartet in G Minor, Opus 1, composed by Mozart’s son. They also had fun playing a Landler, more of a folk dance, and...More

Dear Ng P, thank you for your very positive review! I am happy your little girl enjoyed the concert, too! Regarding your question: the encore played that evening is called "Por una cabeza" by Carlos Gardel. It´s melody in fact was inspired by a piece...More

I agree with the previous post. When I was there this summer, there was a wide range of dress from casual to dressy. Although a lovely concert hall, it is not overly formal.
