About
Thrilling classical chamber music in the famous Marble Hall at Mirabell Palace, considered the most beautiful baroque style concert hall of Salzburg. The Mozart family once played music here for the Salzburg archbishops. Today you can experience in the Marble Hall soloists and ensembles who carry on the spirit of the Mozarts and the important Salzburg musical tradition through their skill and virtuosity. Bach, Mozart, Haendel, Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, Dvorak, Liszt,... the Mirabell Palace Concerts offer you well-balanced and high-level programmes in varied instrumentations and in lively, authentic interpretations. You can hardly ever experience classical concerts in Salzburg that are so intense, atmospheric and close to the artists!

Seeing classical music in the Mirabell Palace is a lovely experience. The sextet was tight and joyful, playing a range of composers, in a gorgeous setting. We were there in winter without the usual tourist crowds, and if/when we return we will definitely see the gardens in bloom.

Thank you for taking the time to write us feedback. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your first evening in Salzburg with Concert & Dinner. It is a very good idea to perhaps visit Salzburg again in the spring, as the city has a captivating charm. We would be very happy to see you again! Perhaps under the magnolia trees near Mirabell Castle ...

Very enjoyable concert in a beautiful setting. Heard some Mozart, Haydn, and one or two other composers. The only hitch was that the website said the performance would be 45 minutes long, starting at 7pm, but the concert started at 8pm and was 1.5 hours long, which threw off my sister and I’s plans for the night. Maybe we were looking in the wrong place on the website? Regardless, the concert was still a highlight of our time in Salzburg.

Loved this concert in the Mirabel Palace marble room.
As we are not classical music buffs, it would have been nice to have the pieces introduced, but the musicians were all extremely talented, and the quality of music was fantastic.

My wife and I went to see a concert at the Mirabell Palace on the final night of our short stay in Salzburg. The concert room and the atmosphere were excellent and the musicians were incredible. We highly recommend to all.

This is a MUST DO for anyone with music appreciation for Mozart, Vivaldi, Haydn, Handel, etc. We had front row seats for this concert—maybe because I booked in October. It was cool to see the musicians’ fingers!

Top notch professional and passionate playing. Two violins, viola, cello, bass and for several, the addition of a harp. The acoustics were good from where we sat. It was obvious they enjoyed their craft. One of the most memorable things we did in Salzburg.

We picked this one instead of the concert that included dinner, mostly from the reviews. It started on time at 8 and plenty of racks to hang coats in the lobby. You go inside the palace and upstairs a few flights to the lobby where the “box office” is. I just showed the tickets I booked in TripAdvisor and they directed us to row 1. Awesome!

Needless to say I HIGHLY recommend. It was sooo good!

This is how classical music used to be performed and how many pieces were written for. Roughly 150 people were in attendance for this performance and the acoustics in the marble hall were excellent.

A great value. You really felt like you were hearing the music the way it was originally intended to be. Even if you’re only a casual fan of classical music, this is worth the visit

We thoroughly enjoyed the concert in the beautiful marble hall. Incredibly talented musicians who clearly loved playing. Felt a really intimate concert as not a big venue. We were privileged to have front row seats so could almost read their music! We would definitely book again if returning to Salzburg.

It was interesting and I’m glad I went, but the seating was uncomfortable and you couldn’t see the performers. I was dissatisfied.

Dear Guest. Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you were not satisfied with your seat. As we have a raised stage, there should be a good view of the musicians from all seats. The acoustics in the Marble Hall are also outstanding.

I have never been more disappointed in a concert. I am a classically trained musician and adore classical music and music of all types. I was planning for and expecting a good experience. The hall is beautiful and the setting very nice, and it is fun to imagine the concerts that have taken place there over history. However, the performance of Mozart pieces that we saw was simply uninspiring. The first violinist played so quietly that you couldn't even hear the melody when she was playing it. In general the performance was flat and there was very little energy from the performers. I was wishing the first and viollin players switched as the second violinist was a stronger player and I would have been happy to hear the violin melody. We ended up leaving at the intermission since it was too painful to hear such important music without a first violin part. We went to 4 concerts on our recent European vacation (2 in Prague, 1 in Salzburg, and 1 in Venice) and this was the only one that was not excellent. Not recommended unless you don't care about the performance.

Dear Guest. We are sad that you were unable to enjoy our concert. We have excellent ensembles and soloists who are successful guests on many concert stages. The Salzburg Palace Concerts team wishes you a good time in Salzburg
