This is a nice place to visit as it is very pleasant here. There are some interesting sculptures here too. I would recommend to come here and take a break after visintg the old town and the nearby Collegiate church.

Having spent several hours walking around Salzburg visiting a host of attractions, we were in dire need of a place to take the weight off our feet and have a rest. Walking through the old town had been particularly taxing on our feet as a...More

Clearly a happening end of town with lots of cafes and a nice pedestrian area, but what got my attention was the sculpture of pickles. The sculpture clearly got my attention and I found it put a smile on my face:)

I got the impression that Alter Markt was the place to sample food, delicatessen, drinks und so weiter. Wrong. Universitätsplatz is the place to go when you feel peckish.

As part of a quick stroll around Salzburg old town, came across this plate close to the tunnel. It's a great mix of the old and the new from the grand church to the new university buildings and from gushing water wells to giant gherkin...More

Clean and calm place. I loved the statue of Saint Vlasik. Very original. The pickles were also funny. You can also see a statue of Schiller.

This is a nice, clean campus. When you are wandering around Salzburg, you cannot help but wandering around it. There are a bunch of statues all over it. We came across a really cool one of gherkins (yes the pickles) in a row. Too funny!!!

Made me feel younger hanging around here! Lots of stalls selling different items. Clean and modern. A statue to enjoy as you watch the world go by with a coffee.
