I totally agree with the previous reviewer who suggested that this place should be classified as a restaurant instead of an attraction - indeed, there isn't anything to sightsee here. I wasn't expecting to find a seafood place in Salzburg since Austrian food is usually...More

An average seafood meal that is tasty but uninspiring. Situated adjacent to the Salzach River, this restaurant is conveniently located for easy access on either side of the river. However, the seafood selections remain simple and basic. The price seems slightly on the high side...More

For fish lovers must try their golden fried cod fish. Reasonably priced at ~11€ with salad. Fish was fresh and cooked to a good degree. Gluten Appetit!

While we had 1 person on our trip who isn't a fan of fish and there's not much for non-fish eaters to enjoy, the rest of us were extremely happy to have a healthy, delicious, quick, and inexpensive meal alongside the beautiful river. You pick...More

If you want fast fresh fish (but not necessarily inexpensive as the fish cost is per 100 grams), this is your place. Other menu items are less expensive. Friendly staff, great people watching and the river is at your feet, but romantic it is not.

Having bikes along the river we were pleased to stop at this self service fish restaurant/cafe. Fish freshly cooked to order and tables outside overlooking the fast flowing river.

If you enjoy seafood, this is a great place to eat. It's a fish market and eatery. Yummy quick fish dishes, casual dining and located along the river. Noticed lots of local folks eating here. Excellent prices.

We've spent days in Munich at October Fest and on our second day here we walked by and smelled the fish. Later when we wanted lunch I remembered. Order any fish not fried. Each of us chose a different fish grilled and they all were...More

This is a no frills place in Salzburg, a town where we haven't yet found a really wonderful place to eat. So, why eat here? (1) In a town where everything is overpriced, this place is cheap. (2) The food is very good. Not fancy,...More

This is the better (more filling) option than the fischburger version. The cakes were moist and tasty, the rice was amazing, and the portion was hardy. This place is a hidden gem in plain sight. This plate was only 4,80 which is great value.

We read about it in Rick Steves book . Very reasonably priced.eating outside was wonderful, the tables overlooked the Salzach river, being able to watch boats and people come and go would eat there again.
