Little ZOO, good for kids who like reptiles, otherwise, not worth the price.
Make sure to check out the feedings. We've seen crocodile, turtles, and chameleon feedings, and it was great

I wish I could give this place zero stars.
When we were there, there were lots of other families with small children visiting. The establishment is full of people smoking everywhere outside in the garden section, the place is littered with cigarette ashtrays and cigarette buds. If you value your health and that of your children stay well away from this place.

Nice way to spend the afternoon. The only thing is that the place is relatively small, so you are fast over. Great for kids.

The zoo is highly recommended to visit, there are rare reptiles which can only be seen at few places in Europe. It was not crowded on a Tuesday in May.

Totally not worth the high admission Price. Very, very crowded with a disappointingly small museum Area to Discovery.

Old type of zoo. Too less space for animals on a very tight space. Quite smelly in the interior and expensive entrance fee. This zoo will close soon due to the inappropriate animal terrariums. Simply not modern anymore as the zoo was established in the 1970s and did not receive any modernisation.

Nice for kids and for a day out, rather small though. I think also less interesting for other than families.

We visited Happ some years ago. We hadn't planned to visit again this time. Due to the school holiday in Austria, Happ would be very busy. But it rained a bit and we had some time to kill before the show in the neighbouring planetarium would start. As we had obtained a Kaernten Card, entrance would be free, so we decided to have a look in. As we had expected, the building was milling with families with children, but right at the entrance in a side room, a very interesting movie was running. Furthermore, the glass cases with spiders and reptiles are always interesting, despite that some creatures are a bit horrifying. As it had stopped raining, we were able to visit the (nicely laid out) outside area with the areas for the turtles.

Happ ZOO is a family reptile zoo near Minimundus. It has a large collection of the venomous snake (black and green mambas, few cobra species, rattlesnakes and many more).
There are also giant turtles, few lizard species, and small dino park.
It is an interesting place to visit. Only thing I would change is a reduction of the entrance price. It is quite high, but if you have Kartner card the entrance is for free.
