It is relaxing and cool court yard away from the baroque on the Sunday I visit there was a wonderful craft market happening all around which is definitely worth browsing around.

The light colored facades were an eye catching change to the other historic buildings on our walking tour. Almost Italian style was a marked contrast to nearby buildings and speaks to the history of this city.

Somewhat of a change from the Baroque and Gothic architecture that is prevalent throughout Austria, is this extensive Renaissance building. It consists of three courtyards. The prominent tower was built in 1568 and expanded to its current height in 1638. The north portal (c1570) is...More

Another historic building we tried to visit only at the courtyard to see how it was inside. The arched passage/entrance was a nice welcoming passage. The arched windows too were nice. There we saw a fountain at the center of the courtyard. A great place.

The Linz Landhaus is a beautiful building found in a corner of Old Town Linz. It provides a number of photo opportunities and is well worth visiting.

The Linzer Landhaus has been renovated a few years ago and is now a very attractive and historic building which must be seen when visiting Linz.

The Landhaus is a nice, romantic bulldog, on all its parts you see those hundreds Of years while it was built... Baroque, reneissance, classicist style, beautiful arcades, a nice courtyard... Once I would love to attend a concert over there...

The Landhaus is situated in a former monastery and is where the politicians meet from Upper Austria. If you can manage it then a trip up the tower of the Landhaus is well worth it despite all the stairs.

This is the seat of the provincial government. The courtyards are lovely and there are some striking entry portals.
