The old town is beautiful and worth the time to stroll through. Lots of great picture opportunities along the way! Climb to the Catholic Church and check out the bone house - it’s something I’ve never seen before and so interesting. The town is full...More

This little old town of Hallstatt is usually depicted as a symbol of the whole Salzkammergut lake region in Austria. It is for a reason because this town is surely one of the most amazing historical lakeside towns I've ever visited. It is a wonderful...More

I enjoyed walking along the waterfront . It was a bit busy but it’s October. I could see this being bedlam in July/august. Through there’s limited parking so there would be an upper limit of visitors on a day

Just when you think you have seen the most beautiful sight possible, you turn a corner and see a better one. Absolutely gorgeous and very popular with tourists from Asian countries.

This little town is so charming. It looks like a postcard. The colorful flowers are everywhere. I especially enjoyed the flowers in the window boxes. Everything is very clean.

Beautiful village in a beautiful area, but its jammed packed with busloads of tourists. Can barely get a space alone on a street or alley. We watched an episode of Rick Steves Austria before we came and decided to check it out.
