the ferry ride takes visitors slowly around the lake and drops off in the old town centre. Great photo opportunities of the town from afar and of the church steeple in the old town centre where passengers disembark. One can walk from bus stop area...More

We spent only a few hours here but we enjoyed every minute as the landscape is fabulous ;the only negative thing was the fact that the place was very crowded and noisy.

The appearance of the lake, as we took off from the dock, was a bit erie looking. When i say erie, it comes from an account of different things. The mountains that surround the lake, make you feel like your in a fjord. They're gigantic!...More

Very nice village, well hidden between mountains. 1 day visit should be enough, with boat trip, funicular and lunch on one of the lake side restaurants. If you get there in the pick of touristic season or in public holiday, parking can be quite tricky....More

Beautiful location. Exquisite. Sadly this village has sold its soul to tourism. China built a replica of Hallstatt and consequently, as a local told me, 70% of the tourists in the high season are Chinese or Asian. Whilst it was a once lovely place, we...More
