Stumbled upon this place in 'old town' paphos. Got 610 bus from Kato Paphos town centre. 'Old town' is definitely not old....modern. but lots of shops and this place was a gem of a find. Lovely shop selling crafted items from local artists and sellers. The artisit werent there when we visited but looks like they do classes or demos too. Encaustic art, weaving, herbs and teas, glasswear, pottery and jewellery. I bought some spearmint and nettle tea leaves and a stunning water jug/vase. Lady in the shop was friendly and offered info and advice. A must visit to this unique local shop when in Paphos.

This gave everything it promised.
The pottery and glass in particular is just lovely, all made locally. The artists and staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. There is no pressure to buy but it’s a perfect place for momentums!!! If you like your local crafts or want little locally made foodie gifts for people at home this is the place to come.

I think this is a great place to visit in Paphos. I tried out making pottery. (Apparently took 10 days to dry so I unfortunately didn’t receive it in time, however I was allowed to take another similar one though.) Costas (The person teaching it.) had a great sense of humor and was really kind. Overall a great place to visit.

Excellent place to visit to be able to get some unique items and not just stuff you can buy in any tourist/market shop.

Could easily have spent a lot more money in there. Got some honey and oil. The honey is delicious!

100% will go back again.

Lots of different things that are not in all the other tourist type shops. When we were there one of the craft people was demonstrating their craft to a group of local school children so must be a popular choice for the community also. Found a lovely glass tea light holder shaped like a Christmas tree quite unique. A change to going to the other shops looking at the same thing. Staff eager to show and explain things about the processes involved.

I had been in Cyprus for more than a month without seeing the selection of fine, hand-made art that The Place offers! I always look for a hand-made ceramic mug as a souvenir from my travels and I found TWO at The Place! After looking for more than a month it was refreshing to see a shop with local glasswork, local wine, herbs, sweets, painting, textiles and ceramics! Everything is obviously hand made with no doubt about any of it! So I found two mugs and the wonderful ladies keeping shop held them for me at the front while I looked more. Then they bubble wrapped everything!!! Check out all the local goods and ask any questions you may have to the lovely English speaking shop keepers

Sitting quietly near the old town is this hidden gem. Away from all the usual tourist items of the municipal market are these artist studios and shops with some lovely glassware and mosaics in particular.

It offers more traditional souvenirs from wine, baskets, shoes, honey all handmade. The number 610 bus from the bus station takes you quite close, didn't work out which bus to get back so walked it in about 30 mins.

Surrounding the Place we found a lovely mosaic shop where you can learn the craft of making mosaics.

I'm a recent resident in Paphos, and this is 'The Place' I bring ALL my Friends & Visitors.
I smile as I walk through the front door & get excited to share the atmosphere of creativity.. A wonderful sense of calm. With the aroma of fresh homemade food & coffee. 'It's the best frappe I've ever had'. My sons will vouch for this!!!
There's a collection of varied handmade traditional Cypriot crafts, Quirky art, baskets, mosaics, local wines, delish food stuff. My son visits from Latsi just for the honey, olive oil & frappe.
Incredible woodwork!!! An Amazingly talented guy...& fabulous Glasswork which I adore... The orange collection particularly.
It's wonderful to see the craftsmen & women plying their Art, and bespoke pieces would be made for you.
There's a collection of Unique Jewellery, made from 'the silk worms cocoons'.
I have a pair of navy & pearl earrings... I wear them all the time... Beautifully light... I'm always being asked where I got them. My friend on her last trip bought some too, a vibrant red with 2 drop pearls... So affordable! She couldn't resist the honey, olive paste & dried herbs which were all bubble wrapped for her trip home.
My other friend scooped up beautiful hand painted pictures & a colourful basket.
To be honest you'll be spoilt for choice!
It's an educational experience not only for you but your children, they can sit & work with the potter, do some weaving or simple do whatever inspires them, how I wish my children were young again!!
The staff are soooo welcoming and love to chat, nothing is to much trouble. And for me It's free & easy parking...
I love 'The Place' it's an absolute must do in Paphos.
I have many visitors due to arrive over the next 3 months... I look forward to sharing the harmony and experience with them. It's lovely to buy local unique treats to take home.
You HAVE to visit 'The Place' it will make your holiday!

Had a quick visit here. Lots of lovely craft work on show and to buy. Nice ladies who explained things. Reasonably priced for such unique pieces. Bought a small bowl which I am happy to have. Its a must visit.

This is literally “The Place” to go for artisan artists. So interesting & run by really enthusiastic people. There is someone on hand to explain about all the artists and also to see some of them at work & find out more about their craft. Although from the street it wasn’t easy to see what was behind the door venture in you won’t be disappointed.
