Lonely Planet advised to get a guide book, without which much of the site is a pile of rubble.

Such a great couple of hours walking around this amazing site looking at the beautiful mosaics and remains. Think I only paid 2 euro 50 to get in and its right in Paphos harbour so nice and easy to visit. Really recommend!
