Big improvements been made to this area during last 15 years. It offers a great feeling to be able to walk alongside the walls.

An absolute must. This is in the centre of the city and is amazing. We were lucky with the weather as it was warm and sunny and the trees were in their autumn splendour.I have rarely enjoyed a walk more .Magnificent.

Viewing the casements and tunnels and "portholes" was a really nice time and I recommend visiting (I actually recommend all the sights to see in Luxembourg - it is such a beautiful place).

Do try and take the guided tour as one cannot fathom the history and the evolutions of these Casemates without a good guide like Yvonne. I learnt more history of the city than anywhere else. Absolutely fantastic

The picture here is of the view from the casemates, a group of tunnels with "views" for the cannons.

Walked from our Hotel and visited the Petrusse Casmates - it took around 2 hours and certainly worth the pleasant walk.
