I had a few drinks around Strait Street before taking the ferry back to Sliema and I really liked this place and its atmosphere. It was once a type of red-light district for sailors actually. I recommend it for some drinks after dinner.

It`s worth walking the whole length of this street, as its character varies from one part to the other. There are several eating places and bars, and many interesting old buildings. Somewhat incongruously there is a also a branch of Marks 7 Spencers!

Enjoyed walking along the narrow Strait street with all it's small cafes. I have bought a book about all the characters that used to work there and can't wait to read it. Excellent street to photograph too.

Of course you should visit the street that was made famous by visiting sailors, raucous nightlife and wild women! It is still loud, still has fantastic bars, but is now a little more tame

Historically, this street was the red light district of Valletta, but now pleasant to walk through without worry. Loads of bars and restaurants.

I don't see reasons to give any "prioritys" for this street -it is just nice narrow old scity street.

We just came upon this not knowing its history. It is not to be missed . Very narrow street with ancient historic buildings and some bars and restaurants. Loved the old charm .

This has atmosphere oozing out of the walls and houses. Lovely to walk around at night and it is very safe as is Valetta in the late evening. Great restaurants i.e. Rubino's and Yard 32 the gin bar. I sang in the street at Yard...More
