Church was empty but beautiful. See St. Paul's relics...a wrist bone and the marble pillar upon which he was beheaded. Absolutely beautiful church. I felt lucky to be there and even my teens were enthralled.

A US explorer and Maltese divers found the anchors last year. They are being authenticated by the Curator of the museum in Valetta. They are being unveiled on an Expedition that departs the US on March 31. The actual anchors from Paul's shipwreck! It visits...More

To sure what’s special about this place. It’s one of the stop on my walking tour but I did not really go in. Not very impressive outside.

Accessed through a very unpretentious dorway from the street, the church is undergoing some much-neede restoration, particularly of its painted ceiling. It's a very peaceful place away from Valetta's bustling streets.

We only popped in here because we'd just had a bite at the cafe next door, through a tiny door, found a really impressive church, with an interesting relic in a chunk of the column that John was allegedly beheaded on.

Our hotel was very near the church so we dropped in. Glad we did. We saw the side altar containing the relics of St. Paul’s wrist bone. In the sanctuary there is interesting and ornate statues sometimes used in processions on holy days.

First time I went to visit this spectacular Church I walked right by it as it seems hidden from view. Enter the doorway and be amazed.

This was a quaint and beautiful church on the back streets of Valletta. A nice contrast from the St. John Co-Cathedral, this is smaller, local church, but still with a visit if in the area.

Halfway down the hill, easiest way to find it is to look up for the spire. The classic architecture inside is splendid and well worth a visit. As with all churches a small donation to the upkeep is appreciated.

I visited the Church of St Paul's shipwreck back in early October when i was visiting Malta.I got lost trying to find the church its not the most easiest of places to find. It's tucked away down a side street. I felt safe visiting this church...More

St. Paul's Shipwreck is an interesting little church on an interesting little street. I use the word street generously. Throughout Valletta there are many such "streets" that are steps that just happen to have shops, restaurants and residences.

Unless you are looking for this church, you will miss it. Pretty on the inside, but dark on the inside. Looks like it is in the middle of renovation, which is wonderful. Tells the story of St. Paul.

You have to go to the side door and Santa Lucia Street. It is undergoing some renovation which is a bit of a problem but it's still worth the visit. Actually the renovation should be complete by now so I'm enjoy.
