The building is unassuming from the outside, but grand on the inside. Marble work is in wonderful shape as are the wall art. Ceilings are at least 20 feet high. Armory is well planned.

The palace, the first seat of the Knights of Malta, is a beautiful building. The part concerning the Holy Inquisition and the prisons is very interesting.

a must! the tour guide was very knowledgable. learning about how the sick and injured were treated by the Knights of St John - using medical techniques that were revolutionary - was enlightening.
