The children didn't want to ride on the horse and carriage but did want to go on the train, it was a good way to see Rabat and the surrounding area, good value €5 for adults and they didn't charge for the children!

We went as part of a cruise shore excursion and it was a very enjoyable and informative 20 minute trip. However, I would recommend doing this independently and not with the cruise ship, had I realised that beforehand I would have saved myself some money.

Very good trip around places you wouldn't usually get to see, roads a little uneven but much the same else where in Malta unless you are on the main highways. Very interesting little trip would recommend to all, 5 euros good value a good ending...More

I’ve read the reviews and to be honest some are harsh. After being in Malta you know the roads aren’t all brilliant so you should know what to expect. It lasts about 25 minutes and you see a little bit extra of a stunning town...More

For €5 person take this little train ride around Rabat, Mdina & Mtarfa. With an interesting commentary you get to see local sights including areas you might not consider, 30 mins well spent.

There have been a few on here slating this trip, however, i tend to disagree. It is what it is and we found it quite informative and as i am limited in my athletic prowess, found it a great way to see Rabat and the...More

This was around a half an hour tour with detailed explanations of various places of interest. Took this train ride as a local resident and learned things about familiar places I knew nothing about.

it looks like fun for children but most of them were adults there. quite a practical solution especially in hot weather

We have done many such petit train rides and this was probably the poorest. The route was particularly bumpy. There really wasn’t Much of interest compared with the old city itself. Poor value for money, €5 per person for about 20 minutes.
