As a huge Game of Thrones fan this is the first place that I have recognized and searched since we entered in the other side of the city I have to search the main entrance which is featured in GOT series!

Mdina is a storyline location so the main gate is something that most tourists will visit as you find yourselves wandering the streets and alleyways. Obviously one of those locations which is steeped in history and shown in all the travel books
This is one must see place while your on Malta ,the city is called the silent city because it use to be the capital but thesedays that is Valletta ,it’s far from silent with the bells going off every 15 mins
I suggest you visit Mdina by day for its beautiful sites, museums and sunny cafes. Then another trip Mdina by night for capturing its silence, quent alleys and the beautiful Baroque Gateway which captivates you.

This gate is very beautiful, with its Baroque architecture.
It is a very nice way to start your day in Mdina walking through it.
A bit surprising though that there are cars crossing it... which ruins the view a bit.
