We had a great Reykjavik food tour with Stevie/Stefan/S25 and his cohort Howcon yesterday. The cool temperatures and occasional rain didn’t dampen the spirits of our guides or the group.
We made 5 stops, all were interesting and tasty. The opportunity to try the various Icelandic dishes with the historical background was a great way to begin our Iceland experience.
Naturally we had to try the rotten fermented shark and the Black Death drink. Fun and gross at the same time. Thanks Stevie for hooking us up.
The tour was well worth the time and we would highly recommend attending when visiting Reykjavik.

I took this tour the day I arrived in Iceland to help me get oriented, and it was a great choice. It was our guide Kathryn's first solo tour, but she seemed like a seasoned pro, answering loads of questions and giving us lots of fun information. The food was delicious and plentiful, with 5 stops for appetizers, fish course, a famous hot dog, lamb soup and the infamous fermented shark, and dessert. There were 13 people in the group, and we all had a great time. Highly recommend!

Noki is knowledgeable and entertaining. He mixes lore with history and experience to draw you into his country. His tour is an excellent experience right when you arrive in Reykjavik

We had a great time on the food tour with “Day”, which is what he suggested we call him as his given name is something like Dagr. He provided lots of information about the food and made the whole tour a lot of fun with his expert knowledge of Iceland and exuberant personality.

Unlike other food tours, this one included shared entrees instead of little tastes. With 5 stops on the tour, I’m still full 3 hours later after our final stop for dessert and coffee

Great job, Day.

Ben was really friendly and chatty. He could have talked a bit more to the group about the different sites, history, and interesting aspects to the city. He did somewhat, but mainly talked individually to people in the group.
The actual tour is a good length and the food we tasted had a good variety. The price for the walking foodie tour is probably a bit expensive for what you get.

We loved getting a flavor of the Reykjavik food scene with Karitas! The food was delicious. Learning about food and living in Iceland from Karitas was an excellent start to our trip!
