We sought out this bar because we wanted some proper beer. Google maps told us this bar was in the middle of the square, but it's more in the corner on the side of a building. They have a large sign if you just turn this corner. I'm happy we found it! Great place, great beer, the bartenders were so approachable and friendly and we ended up having the best night! When in Reykjavik, go here!

This was a cool beer bar tucked away. It’s not too difficult to find though. They have a happy hour on a couple of different beers everyday. I had a cherry wheat which was a little bit sour but it was not a bad beer. The inside is pretty cozy and they also have beers available to take home as well. Worth a stop!

Excellent bar, best in the city for local craft brews. The bartender, Victor, was spot on with all of his beer recommendations. Everything from tasty IPA’s to delicious sour beers!!!! And location is so convenient, just off the main street. Will definitely visit again!!

Much more of a macro bar, this underground, eclectic spot in the center of the city provided our “we made it to Reykjavik” beer and set the standard for the one night stay. Opted for an excellent pale ale that happened to be on happy hour. A plus was that the beer was brewed just across town.
We were here in the early afternoon, and it was certainly quiet at that time. A few locals hung out at the bar, and we joined a few seats away. We both just had one beer, and didn’t linger, but certainly could see this dive bar like setting as one we’d spent a night out in.

There are a lot of beers in this bar. Come in happy hour time, have some beers and try something interesting. There is no wasabi beer anymore, mangosomthing also finished... there is a variety of IPA beers here. Be aware they don’t serve a food.

What a find. Iceland has a great beer scene and this is a bar that's passionate about its beer for sure. Over 150 beers to choose from most of which are locally brewed. Great service from a very knowledgeable bar man. Because its not that obvious to find we found quite a few locals here meaning your in good company if you want something more authentic.
Spoilt for choice if you love your real ales!!!

We stopped off here during a heavy snow shower to warm up and dry off! There were some delicious drinks on tap, in particular the mango milkshake IPA. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and it was a cool place to stop for a drink.

My 29 year old daughter is in Reykjavik this week by herself, as her girlfriend cancelled at the last minute. Are there any clubs, coffee houses, tours, etc. where she would feel comfortable, not knowing anyone or the area?

I have been to Iceland twice and all the tours would be safe for her as a solo traveller . People are friendly and I’m sure she will find fellow travelers helpful. Just be careful as you would anywhere else and don’t go out into the wilderness alone, stick with the crowds. Have a great time. PS the horse riding is a great experience as is Blue Lagoon. The Pearl is cheap to eat and see the whole of Reykjavík from the observation deck. Just a few of the must do’s.

We do not serve food but there are some option for snacks (small bags of chips) to have with a beer or two.
