Bought a 24 hour ticket for the Hop on/Hop off bus through our cruise. Good way to see the city. Fare is around $36 US and kids 11 and under are free. Takes about 1 hour to do entire tour if you don't get off....More
This is the worst hop-on, hop-off tour I have done. Time schedules are not kept, some stops do not have bus houses (and we are soaked through after waiting over 45 minutes for a bus), the hours are short, and it is extremely expensive.

I should have read the previous reviews but we have used this mode of traveling in many other cities with my elderly mother and it usually provides a good overview of the city and is a good tour value. We just wasted 100 dollars.
Find some other way to see the city. Hop On Hop Off in Reykjavik is not a good choice. They don't use sufficient buses to provide timely service. You spend all day waiting. They say it's 20 minutes between buses. It's more like 45 minutes....More
