A nice piece of sandy beach, close to the city of Pori, lots of sand dunes, be sure to check the wind strength if you are going. Bring own sun umbrella and wind blockers if you want to spend the whole day there,

Yyteri area is good for sunbathing but also for bird-watching (further South from the swimming beach) - well maintained duckboard routes available, in summer time also rather good services. In winter also some services in the Yyteri SPA. Just remember not to wonder too much...More

An amazing beach with gorgeous sand dunes originating from the ice age. The forest nearby offers frisbee golf, and there are lots of other sport possibilities available, especially water sports. The beach is mainly in natural condition.

A great beach with great facilities and high on cleanliness. It is situated a bit away from main Pori but the journey is worthwhile

By a nice warm and summer day, that beach is equivalent to southern Europe beaches. Easy parking, good accesses, dunes, clean sand, services ... too bad it is so far from Helsinki, I would go more often.

Finland does not have access to an ocean. The Baltic sea which surrounds Finland to the west and south has low salinity almost like freshwater. Consequently Finnish beaches are like lakeshores. This one is untypically a 6km stretch of natural sandy beach.

Beautiful beach, where you can relax and take sun.... or swiming at the sea. There is also restaurant at the west side of beach.

Nice place to get tanned in summer, fro walking in autum and spring. When it's winter and snow, nice place for take children to sledding (why not adults also). Largest sand beach area in Finland.

Yes there are, at least buses 32, 36 and 38 leave from Pori bus station to Yyteri. They seem to operate once an hour or so.
