Nice castle ruins, next to an amazing river. You can get some beautiful pictures here. Also a perfect and quick stop for families. The only disappointing thing is that some of the walls have been tainted with graffiti.

Smallish ruins, but nice to visit on a summer evening. Seems to be a popular Place for the local youths.

I really enjoyd my time there! Beautiful place if it's good weather! The Castle is also fantastic during night because of the shiny lights. You should visit day time and night time. You can visit inside of the castle and read about the history.

The Kajaani castle ruins are a must visit in Kajaani. Especially when it gets dark and the ruins are lit, it's an exceptional view! Also there is some info about the ruins which was really interesting.
