This was our first overnight train ride. It was clean, more spacious than we thought it would be in the sleeping berth. Only one lady working at the dining car on the way back with a long line for dinner, but good food. The sun...More

Train was clean and the cabins were good. It might be called the Santa Claus Express but this is misleading as the train only took you to Lapland and there was nothing that we could see on board that related to a Christmas Experience.

The train is clean. The compartments are too small. As the journey progresses, you can see the terrain change and it's breathtakingly beautiful.

Booked an ensuite which was very nice. We didn't have towels with us since we were very short of luggage space due to multiple low cost flights. We were pleased that towels were provided (as standard) on our beds when we arrived.

We took this to and from Rovaniemi. The berths are very comfortable and the ride was very smooth. The WiFi is also very good.

Great trip to Rovaniemi from Helsinki, despite being 4 hours late when we got there! If you can't book a room, it's not worth it. The seated areas don't recline by the looks of things. Takes around 12 hours and the little rooms are pretty...More

We bought our own picnic supper to have in our carriage and it was great fun. We shopped at the Old Market Hall near the harbour, everything was fresh and delicious. (You can even get a bottle of wine there!) The compartment was small but...More
