Do not come here if you do not speak swedish
Jul 2021 • Couples
Do not come here if you do not speak or understand Swedish language. There is one small keaflet with an English translation fir one room. Everything else: just un Swedish. It is a shame for such a high developed and wealthy country that I Norrköping the biggest museum isn't able to translate at least in English

Interesting museum
May 2019 • Friends
The Stadsmuseum was quirky and interesting. Downstairs had a display for Mother's Day but level one was contained factory equipment from when Norrkoping was famous for its fabrics. Seeing the fabric partially woven in the machines was fascinating, with the different colours and patterns. You could get really close to them. On the next level up were small replica shops, such as a cobbler's, food shop, hat shop and clothes shops. It was like walking through an old town. And entry was free.

Great location and exhibitions
Jul 2016 • Couples
The museum is gorgeously located in the heart of norrköping's old industrial area.

They have something for everyone. I throroughly enjoyed the photo-exhibition on Swedish dads, and my daughter enjoyed the bamse-exhibition.

And the price? Free!

Interesting building, interesting content
Aug 2016
Great to see these old factories repurposed like this. Free entry which was a bonus so worth taking a look. We found the reconstruction of the old artisan shops very interesting - milliners, shoemaker, barber etc as well as working industrial looms which we saw in action. Some areas of the building were being redeveloped but the interior of the building was interesting with twists and turns. Built to fit the site right on the waterway.

Interesting museum
May 2015 • Family
Very interesting museum with small street of shops, Also some of the history of the area and in particular the industrial history of Norrkoping. We were treated to a demonstration of how looms worked in the old wool mills.

This is a great museum to learn and se how we lived and worked in Norrköping, at old times. The shop inside have lots of handicrafts made in the region and its a lovely shop for buying gift or souvenirs.
