The lady (a Uni student with blond hair, I've forgotten her name!) was very knowledgable, friendly and informative. We were shown all around the place in Stockholm, and I learnt a lot about the city. I did both the Stockholm city tour and the Gamla...More

Katarina (I think) was our guide around the old town town and she coped well with a large group -about 4 people. It was difficult to hear at times because of the numbers and the background noise of everyday life in Gamla Stan but she...More

Yet another free walking tour in yet another city! This tour depends partly on the itinerary and partly on the guide. In this case they were both great. We took the City Tour and even though the website mentioned that it will include viewing the...More

We did both the city and the old town tour. Both guides (I think the names were Nora and Katarina, apologies if i got that wrong) were very friendly, knowledgeable and clearly very enthusiastic about Stockholm. The groups were around 30 people but that didn't...More

We did the Free Walking Tour 'Södertour' with Ben at 13.00 from Slussen underground station. Very relaxed yet informative, nice views, lovely British English and a good sense of humour. 90 minutes well spent!

This is a great way to get oriented with Old Town. You can revisit the sights after the tour if you have time. We were a family of 4 and only had a few hours in Stockholm - our cruise ship port stop was fairly...More

I'm not sure if this was the guide's first time or what, but this was the worse walking tour I've ever been on by far. First off all, the tour guide started the tour 5 minutes before the meeting time. Hope nobody showed up at...More

I joined the morning (new town) and afternoon (old town) tours and was happy with both. They share great stories, anecdotes and even pictures with you. The guides were also good and knowledgeable.

Useful info. My score of the tour is based on comparing it to the one I've done in Copenhagen recently which was superb. The tour guide was not Swedish which I believe made a big difference. Her voice was quiet in a busy noisy place....More

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)

Right outside the Gamlastan metro station. Both the city and old town tours start from there. They offer AM and PM tours.
