One of the best days I have spent on a Sunday driving train for £5 is brilliant. more people should go for the this experience friendly staff this should a must do on your buket list if you love or day out driving a Train

Had a lovely day at rocks by rail. Two steam and two diesel locomotives in operation. Break van rides and quarry demonstrations with working stripping shovel.nice friendly staff in cafe. Dedicated team of volunteers are a credit to the museum. Will visit again soon.

A great place to visit for those who have interests in industrial railways and mining. The site is compact with good paths and signs allowing the visitor to focus on the exhibits.
