We enjoyed our walkthrough of this castle. The chapel and the Great Hall we most memorable. The Chapel was as impressive as any other I've seen in Denmark. The rest of the facility was not that impressive. I found some of the rooms sparsely appointed...More

One of the best castles I’ve had the pleasure to visit this trip so far. We were fortunate to enjoy the castle interior with the benefit of an experienced local guide. We arrived perfectly in time for the opening time and were able to start...More

Not only is the exterior of this castle imposing and photo worthy, the interior is magnificent! Highly ornate ceilings with sculpture like figures of deer and rabbits etc. in side panels, that are different from what I have ever seen in castles. Organ pipes are...More

The Castle, architecture and artwork are amazing and you are close enough to touch....but don't! I suggest at least a couple of hours and good walking shoes.

The castle is wonderful from the outside and the grounds and gardens are excellent. The castle contains hundreds of paintings and photos of figures in Danish history but no real way to get a feel for the history itself. It contains several striking rooms including...More

Good Afternoon 2.5 hours would be the minimum amount of time to spend at the Castle. I spent 3.5 hours and am very thorough reading almost all verbiage provided. Walk through village of Hilerod if time permits
